• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "1995 Trans Am" isn't going to indicate to anybody that you need help. However, "Need help with my 1995 Trans Am" will. Be as descriptive as you can. Please use common sense... Hello to everyone. Joined the forum mostly looking for info on the 65 GTO/Lemans but have been a Pontiac fan for a very long time. Currently working on 2 projects; a 65 Lemans convertible and an 86 GP 2+2 Aerocoupe. The 86 GP is in the last stages of completion. It only needs finish preped and painted and seat covers done and reassmbled. Has mostly stock drive train complete with smog pump on engine but I have opted for color change to blue/silver. Never was partial to the original silver paint sceme on these and since I had to replace the urathane nose with a fiberglass I figure a color change won't hurt it either. The 65 Lemans is long termer I've had since late 70"s and been collecting parts for years. Grandson is close to driving age and time to get started. Plans include new floor and trunk pans and right side 1/4, a 4speed changeover,70 model 455/.030 over w/2x4 carb(an old race motor from back in 80's), 4 whl disc brakes with 2" drop front, new interior and top and haven't decided about cloning but think I'll keep it a Lemans for sleeper purposes. Nice to join you all and when I figure out how to post pics I'll have a few for you.
