Hi. My handle is maggie pontiac, I have a 2006 Pontiac Montana SV6 2WD 3.5 60 deg V6 OHV. It is the second gen LX9. It rolled off the Georgia Assembly line Oct to Dec 2005 making it one of the last produced at the Georgia plant, and one of the last manufactured for the US. This bit of trivia makes it worth it to me to battle some of the defects engineered into the vehicle. The LX9 can be found in about 20 or more GM makes and models, it was designed for 400,000 miles. So it is worth the uphill battles here and there to keep it going.
I have several factory service manuals. One is online through Mitchell DIY (eauto repair), one is a copy on my pc, and another is a video series for techs. So if you have any questions like: which fuse is for the OBDII or on which fuse will i find the HO2 sensors, or anyting you think is service manual please ask. I can find it in the manual and perhaps even upload the image to share.
GM cars have always been my favorite, especially Oldsmobiles from 1979 and earlier. I dream of own beat up 56 Pontiac and a very early Olds to restore. Not necessarily to Concourse Standards but at least to have a great project going.
Thank you to Sal for an awesome site. And thanks to the many who keep it going. I am very glad to be here.
