New Member....Need info on 70 Lemans Sport

Hello! My name is Jason, and I'm close to buying a 1970 Lemans Sport 350. I'm a Chevy guy mainly, so Pontiacs are unknown territory for me. I tried searching for a website that has detailed history about the cars, but no luck. So hopefully I can find some good info on this forum.

My main question, what does a Rally Package consist of on a 70 Lemans Sport? I think the car has the Rally package, because it has Remote Side view mirrors. The car is a unrestored 100% stock condition car, down to the hub caps and body side moldings. So what ever it has came on the car when it was new.

back in the early 70's they did not have packages like today. The side mirrors were a stand alone option. Is there anything else that makes you think it has a Rally package, stripes or real gauges as opposed to idiot lights? You can also try the forum at www.performanceyears.com

I can tell you thing that Chevy guys mess up on when working on Pontiac engines. The rotation of the dist. is counter clockwise. Unlike a Chevy that is clockwise.
