Started off with an '88 Mustang Convertible, which I hated with terrible passion... perhaps because it was a 4-banger?
Then I graduated with something I swore was a Ford Taurus and it turns out it was something called an Oldsmobile Aurora. Loved that car. Gave it to my husband after running it into the ground (despite 10 years of abuse, she's still a champ!) as a project car. My brother keeps saying he is going to steal the engine out of it for a dune buggy.
This March, I got a car I had been considering for a while now. Originally, I wanted something that was analogous to my Aurora, but not so uncommon--an Oldsmobile Intrigue. Somehow, I ended up with the Intrigue's older GM sister, the Grand Prix.
And that... is where I went from The Behemoth (The Aurora) to The Curse (Grand Prix).
1997 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP 4-Door Sedan (3.8 L L67 SC V6). The new bane of my existence. A mystery, wrapped in an enigma, encased in a bright, cherry red chassis. Meticulously maintained for its 160,000 mile life until it decided I, its new owner, was not worthy of it and appropriately decided to drive me... to hell. ;-)
