Hello,
I'm pretty handy around the garage and I can work my way around what does what in an engine pretty easily but this is my first time owning a Pontiac and first time owning a convertible so definitely going to need some help.
I've left a gist of the current state of affairs of my vehicle in my album here: http://pontiacforum.com/pontiac/album.php?albumid=217 but basically I went down to Lakeland, FL for some family event and had been looking for a decent little vehicle to put-put around town in for sub-$1000 I found this '93 Sunbird on Craigslist for $900 (talked the owner down to $800) so got it and immediately drove it the 180mi home. on 1/4 tank of gas.
As for repairs:
I realize this will cost near (if not more) than what I paid for it but I'm okay with that as the parts are cheap, the engine and transmission are in great shape (despite obviously being uncared for), and I believe it'll be a great project car for, if nothing else, a great learning experience.

As for repairs:
- First of all the top is starting to rot away it's evident by just looking at it but it still seems somewhat water-tight still it needs to be replaced.
- Battery works fine until you shut the car off and then it just dies (replaced).
- All of the carpet and seats are rather nasty (previous owner was a smoker) so looking for a way to get that cleaned up or get covers.
- Blower fan does not turn on I was told this was just a missing relay but even with it still does not kick on so I just tapped into an accessory line for this.
- There are scratches all over so a repaint is going to be necessary.
- Radio is OEM but still has plenty of life left in it I'll update that when I care more.
