New to forum, rear axle question

Hello, new to site and hoping someone can answer a question. My son has a 2002 Firebird 6cyl. we need to put a new (used) rear end in it. Did all firebirds come with traction control? His car has it, if there is two different rears, are they interchangeable. thanks!

traction control was an option but they all came with ABS. I cannt imagine there would be a component on the axle that would be different traction control versus non-traction control since the computer and other braking system components would be under the hood.

thanks, i agree and hoping your right. i just know when you go to look for a used one they list 2 different axles, one with TC one without. I've located one without it and was concerned that there might be some censer or something missing that would mess with the computer.

i not appsolutly shure but the traction control sencor is part of the transmission. senses wheel spin compared to the front tires and reduces power. i'm not a professional, that is just my thought on the matter.
