Hello, I've recently purchased an '06 AWD off my folks for winter duty (because my '86 Bonneville and '07 Eclipse don't much care for the white stuff). Car has a healthy 209k kilometers on it and besides a blocked PCV valve we had to clear, the engine runs great. However, the car is not without its issues.

1) driver's door speaker is dead. Not really a big deal
2) ABS and TC light are on. Kind of a big deal
3) front shocks are blown. Had a rep at GM tell me the FE3 shocks off a GXP might not fit, so still looking for confirmation before pulling the trigger on those

Car is nicely equipped (Sun & Sound) and is easy on the eyes, so I like it enough to keep it on the road for a few seasons. Wish it had a little more power, but it's adequate enough to get my by. If there are any legitimate power adder bolt ons out there, I'd be interested in having a look. Hopefully I can learn a little more about this platform and keep it running nicely for some time to come. Thanks for having me

welcome to the forum and good luck with your purchase

So I've done a number of little things to keep this thing road worthy. For one, I replaced the two front struts assemblies with FE1 hardware. Got new endlinks and an alignment, and replaced the cabin air filter. Right now I'm looking into an AEM dryflow drop-in air filter and happened to come across a universal header system from Megan Racing that looks interesting. If anyone has any feedback regarding these, I'd love to hear it from you

do you intend to install a turbo charger? thats what those headers are for.
how do you know what difficulties you will run into with those headers, they are universal?
I doubt that air filter will create any noticeable change in performance,

Didn't even notice they were for turbo applications. Whoops.

Also took the car for a 2600 kilometer round trip to Halifax and back to attend a friend's wedding. It did very well with no issues. Kept it on cruise between 110 and 120km/h the whole way. Burned through approximately $300 worth of fuel
