• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "1995 Trans Am" isn't going to indicate to anybody that you need help. However, "Need help with my 1995 Trans Am" will. Be as descriptive as you can. Please use common sense... Hey everyone! I'm a newbie to Pontiac and newbie on working on cars in general. I've always wanted a cruiser type of car and finally found one with the 71 Lemans Sport. I've owned the car since the middle of last year and I want to bring this car back to life! The car runs good, but as of today I think the battery is dead. I haven't had any major work done up on the car other than a engine diagnostic test, oil change, and having the transmission looked at for leaks.

This year I want to start fixing this car up. My only problem is where to start. I have somewhat of a general "things to do first" idea with restoring this car. I will try my best to get all the info I can from you guys!

welcome to the forum and good luck with the car
