no acceleration after stopping

2002 Grand Prix: After stopping at a light, I had no acceleration. I had to stomp on the accelerator to go 5 mph. What should I look at first? Fuel filter? Tranny?

If the engine is reving and there is no forward motion you have a transmission issue, otherwise check fuel pressure and change fuel filter if it's been 30k miles or more. Also check air filter. Do you have a check engine light?
