Hello there Maybe someone here can help me.
I am the owner of a 2005 Montana and yesterday I went out to go somewhere and couldn't start me van. Battery is good about 2 months old. Checked connections and all fine on Battery. checked fuses and boom blown fuse. put a new one in go to crank it and boom blown again. tried a higher fuse (15) blows that too. I am getting frustrate I think it may be either the Crank Position censor but would that blow the fuse? (i have Google searched everything I can think of) also when we up plugged the CPS and re plugged it back in it would start a couple times then blow the fuse again. (we thought we had it fixed a few times but still not working) which leads me to believe it may be a wiring problem but could not find a burnt wire or anything. We looked all the way behind the splice and no burned wires. getting very angry can someone please help????

Which fuse is blowing, where is it located, engine compartment or passenger compartment and what abbreviation is on the fuse position? Never try a stronger fuse you will end up with a burnt wire harness.

I do have the haynes manual and i have looked at the wiring diagrams. can't find the 7x crank sensor. been looking for it all morning.

Under the hood there is a fuse box with a starter relay. Try removing the relay and replacing the correct amp fuse. if the fuse doesnt blow there is a chance the relay is bad. Look for a relay with the same markings in the box and temporarily place it in the starter relay position. If the car starts buy another relay.

Thanks for all your help! I did end up finding the problem. my husband had replaced the air filter a few days before the problem started well I pulled it out and noticed that a wire had became trapped between the casing! it had been kinked so once I pulled that out and replaced the 10 AMP fuse it is now running like a champ. No clue as to what the wire went to but made sure there was no breaks and slapped electrical tape around it just to make sure.... And have not had any problems since! Really truly thank you for all your help!

Thanks for sharing the fix , this has to be one of the worst vehicles to change an air filter in.
