No crank

My Daughter parked her 2002 Grand Am and when she went to start it again it would not crank. I jumped the starter and it cranks but won't start,if I turn the key on and off to build the fuel pump i'll fire while jumping the starter and then just crank. Security light is not lit and I have spark. Instrument lights come on when key in turned on. Could this be a bad ignition switch?
