Ok i replaced thermostat and coolant temp sensor checked all blend doors are working and all hoses are hot to the touch and still no heat and for some reason when I'm running the heater the a/c line is ice cold almost like the Ac is on but I'm not running the a/c I'm lost any ideas

have you checked for a malfunctioning heater control valve?
is the ac compressor running?

1. Did you check if the AC compressor is running?
2. You are sure you are not low on coolant?
3. You are sure the blend door for the heater core is working?
4. You have the center temperature control set for hot but what is the right side control set for and is the left side button for AC off, the light is off ? Is recirculation set off?

I also have no heat (2006 Torrent AWD). With IR heat gun I have 150ish degree temp on one heater core line and 140ish on the other (so I think the heater core is flowing properly). When the blower is turned off I feel good heat from defroster area but when I turn up the blower it becomes cold (no real warmth noticed). I look at the blend door actuator and I see and hear it turning. When it finishes moving it sounds like "squeezes" tight on both extremes rather than a clunk.

After some internet searches I saw a diagram of the blend door and actuator and they look to be separate. I also saw this is a somewhat common problem with Torrents. My first question is, if the blend door's shaft broke near the actuator would the broken piece fall out of the actuator or is it a tight enough fit to hold onto it?

Now, I see three small bolts / screws holding the actuator in place and I think I can reach two of them. Is there an easy way to reach that third one (on front side of actuator) so I can pull the actuator and possibly prop the blend door open for the time being?

Thanks in advance.

Meslg5, I do have 190 degrees at the thermostat housing when warmed up. I also have a new bit of info.

I pulled the overflow cap and let it warm up fully. Made no difference. I was measuring the temps at the defrost area and then vent area and they were around outside temp (50ish). I, for whatever reason, rev'd the engine to around 2000 rpm and heat started coming out. Measuring the vent area after about 1 minute of rev the vents showed about 107 degrees on the IR gun. To the bare hand it was nice and warm. When I let the engine go back down to the 700ish rpm the heat, within 10 seconds, was back down to the colder temps. Rev it again, heats back up. let off, goes cold again.
Engine temp stayed just above the 1/4 indicator on the gage or 190ish on the IR at the thermostat area. So, it seems like the water pump is working but not pushing it thru the heater core. As a novice this sounds like I'm not getting good coolant flow thru the system. Could it be a questionable water pump? Or better option, imho, a somewhat clogged heater core?
Thanks in advance!

i would say heater core, flush the cooling system and if possible disconnect the heater hoses and try to flush out the core.

Meslg5, just wanted to say Thanks for the info and help. I haven't had time yet to flush etc... but I think we're on the right path. Again, I appreciate your help. Have a great weekend
