no power stering

[2001 grand am se]

i loose pwr steering on my 2001 grand am se 2.4L. whent started after 7-10 hours. muscleing the steering wheel back and forth few times free is it up. and works fine after that until the nxt long stay. any clue why its doing this?

assuming the car doesnt have an electric PS motor, have you checked the fluid level in the reservoir?
