I have a 84 Fiero and the other day it lost power to the wheels. I can feel the clutch working and shifting of gears, it tries to go forward and reverse but no matter how high the rpm's it will not go down the road. When in a gear I can push the car as if it was in neutral. Any ideas what is going on??

Could be a bad clutch like mentioned above, or you could have some mechanical issues with the throw out bearing. Find a reputable shop and have them check it out if you are not mechanicaly inclined.
