No sound at all in my grand am, help?

I have a 1999 grand am se. Saturday afternoon me and my friend installed my old receiver into the car, a kenwood kdc 135. I also took out the factory rear speakers and installed 2 visonik speakers which my friend gave to me. After all was set and done, they worked, no issues.

Sunday morning, I went to Walmart. Everything worked great going there, and then when I turned on my music as I was leaving, there was no sound at all. The receiver would turn on but no sound. I went to my friends house and when I got there, the receiver would not turn on at all!

I checked all the fuses and noticed that the radio bat fuse was blown so I replaced it, the receiver turned on again, but had no sound what so ever. Is there anyway I can fix this? I heard about a monsoon amp possibly neon installed on the car and I would have to bypass it, but that's just a hunch?

Any type of help would be appreciated.

did you check for voltage going to the speakers at the back of the receiver?

Yeah and there was no voltage. The front door speakers do not work as well. We took out the receiver and put back the factory radio and it turned on and no sound what so ever, so I don't know what could've caused all 4 speakers to not work.

well if the receiver has no voltage going to the speakers they wont work. So you either have a problem inside the receiver or have something messed up with the wire harness attaching the receiver to the car. Did you cut up the harness during all this switching of receivers and perhaps not properly spliced a wire back together?

I wired everything right, as I explained earlier, I removed my receiver and re-installed the factory tape deck back in, with all the original harness and everything, since I was using a wiring harness for the receiver anyways. And the factory tale deck powered on, but no sound from any speaker in the car, but clearly the tape was playing. That's the issue, I can get power to my receiver, and the original head unit that was in the car, but no sound to either door speakers, or the rear.
