No spark from Coil

I have an 85 Gt with a 2.8 and I'm not getting a spark from the coil. The ignition module was replaced about 8 months ago and I just replaced the coil. Would an ignition module die that quick?

anything is possible, this link doesnt mention the 2.8 but see if it helps in figuring out your problem

Actually it is the pick up coil is most likely bad. This is a common problem with the V-6 distributors.
