Hi.
My wife has a 2004 Pontiac grand Am. It has been acting up for a few weeks, sometimes refusing to start, but then it fires up and runs good. Now it has fail completely and will not start, I cannot hear the fuel pump when I turn on the ignition. I replaced the relay with another but this made no difference. Do you think the fuel pump is at fault? Also, where is the fuel pump located on this year and model, it is the SE and has the 3.4 engine. I would appreciate an early response as we ned to get this car running. Thank you in anticipation.

The pump is in the fuel tank, you can check if power is going to it with a voltmeter.
