I have a 87 6cyl Fiero. Sometime it will start and sometime it won't. It's like its not getting spark. My husband says its not the starter. Any ideas what it could be?
pull the spark plugs and connect the plugs to the plug wires ONE AT A TIME. then disconnect the fuel delivery system, and turn the engine over. That will eliminate beyond the shadow of a doubt if its a spark problem
It could be a number of things like a bad ignition module, bad ignition coil, loose or corroded electrical connector, etc. Need more details. Does it not start more after it is warmed up or when cold? Wet days or dry days?
