2001 GT threw an error code for upper O2 sensor. I tried using a universal 22mm (7/8 inch) removal tool, but no dice. The tool has started rounding the sensor. Any tricks for removing the sensor without taking off the exhaust manifold?

Get a socket designed for the o2 sensor. Parts stores might rent one out.

ist off get a o2 sensor socket , parts stores sell them. if that dont work get a propane torch and heat the area around the sensor , that usally does it for me .
