oil filter cap removal

trying to change my oil and the filter cap is stuck on. ended up putting a hole in the top with vice grips. im afraid i folllowed some bad advice or that i just misunderstood cause here is where im at.

Am i going to be able to remove this completely? or am i fucked?

Good , just make sure nothing falls in the motor, should be able to get a replacement one at any auto parts store.

They make a special low profile 3/8 socket for removing and installing that. You may be able to find it locally. Try using that socket otherwise you will have to and break the rest of it out.
