oil filter has been 90 percent cut off due to frustration please hel[p only piece that has gasket attached to it is left the top please help me remove this

use hammer and screw driver be careful not to damage sealing surface on engine block and undo in correct direction

air hammer with a punch end put on it next time use a strap oil filter wrench not the band wrench never failed yet and i had some though ones to take off

do the whole thing with the advice on the screw driver and before putting on your new oil filter take motor oil and rub on the new the new oil filters casket before installing it this will prevent the oil filter from getting stuck it lubricates the rubber so rubber does not melt to the motor block
