Had this 06 pontiac montana for 4 years, and never has the oil light come on tosses code for oil pressure circuit malfuntion, single wire lead shows wire circuit complete, when run to ground still doesnt come on, replaced switch still nope. Any one had this issue?

When you place the key in the run position but do not start the car , does the oil light come on?
Please post the code

P0520 oil circuit malfunction. And no light at all when in on position or grounded running. Wiring tests out good w test light. Note this is a single wire connection, not fuel pump cut off equipped.

How about the bulb is burnt out?

Never saw a spot for one used bright spot light for one never saw one doesnt mean its not there just dont see the icon

I did some research and found the oil pressure switch is a solid state sensor, which transfers ground voltage to serial port data to pcm, if voltage does not change at start up the dic will not illuminate oil ,nor will the service oil notice. (Amber) it will however trip m.i.l. for circuit malfunction. So i guess the pressure sw is no good,a/c delco parts from now on. Thank you for your research. 😊

that doesn't explain why you dont see the symbol when you turn the key to the run position without starting it?

Based on what i read, because of the way the signal is interpreted by pcm, so dic warning is not shown. The signal is converted to serial port data that w/o a good scan tool i cannot see what the voltage is doing.

OK, if you do change the sensor, let us know how it works out for you, thanks.
