OIL PRESSURE

Just got a 90 sunbird se ragtop... oil pressure is reading real high. the chiltons that the previous owner threw in does not have any troubleshooting info...

Remove the sender and temporarily install a handheld gauge to get the true reading.

Swap the sensor as they start to leak and mess with readings. Clean up the connecter also. Pump should last the life of the engine.

Guage does go bad due to corosion on the copper fingers the cluster snaps into. Mine was so bad , I had to change the cluster.
