on a firebird, what way does the phoenix on the hood face? left or right?

It depends on the year , most face the right side of the car when viewed from the front..

My 2002 'Bird W68...

Front License Plate Cover the Phoenix faces right.

The Tail Insert, the Phoenix faces left.

And the Driver Side Tail Lamp is darker tinted honeycomb as opposed to Pass. side.

Both have OEM GM numbers, but something is amiss.
