On Star Phone stuck on

Does anyone have a fix for this: My son last night was pushing the on star buttons last night(which I am not a subscriber to) and now the phone button is next to the on star button is lit up solid red and will not shut off which makes the radio lock up and says phone on the display. Whatever I do it will not turn off in fact it was on all night (8 hrs) and I can not use the radio.We called on star and they said take it to the dealer .Well when I get time I am going to try to find the fuse and pull it ,and/or disconnect the battery. Anyone have any experience with this ???? Thanks in advance.

You can try lightly tapping on the surrounding plastic with a very small hammer to unstick the button. You can also try spraying the button with electrical contact cleaner to free it. Otherwise it's dealer time. Do this with the vehicle totally turned off.

Thanks for the quick response I tried prying down on those buttons thinking what you were that maybe something was stuck but didn't try the hammer method will try after work.

Well last night I pulled the 5 amp fuse for onstar and it released the radio and the call button shuts off when the van is off ,but the call button continues to stay red when the van is on ?
