I just got a 93 pontiac grand am last Thursday and that Friday I drove a half an hour away from my house and the service engine light came on and then went away. Today I go to start my car and had it ideling for about 20 mins wait for my laundry to get done at the laundry mat and all of a sudden my power door locks (which don't work) locked me in and then I noticed the RPM's were rappidly going down to less than a grand and then back up to about 1500 and then all of a sudden it dropped back down and I noticed that there was smoke coming from the right side of the hood. When I got out of the car I noticed there was a stream of brown sluge like liquid pouring out from my car and the "puke pump" was oozing of antifreeze and smoke was coming out from the lid and the sides of the pump. I know that I am a woman and I know that I do not know that much about cars but I just want to see if theres any advice I could take with me when I go to get this checked out and not get effed over... thank you for your time

It's hard to say but sounds like you could have a couple of things going on with the cooling system. Could be the fans arent working and it overheated or could be more serious cannt really tell without seeing the car.
