Painting Rally II wheels

Anybody painted Rally II wheels? Doesn't seem like rocket science but I also don't want to jack up $1200 worth of wheels. Any advice? Do you have to primer them first? Thanks in advance.

Depends on condition of current paint. If needed light sanding 400 paper is all. They make masking kits to make it easier.

Yep, I got the masking kit. The wheels are brand new.

Yes, I just like black between the spokes.
