Passenger Power window

Hello all,

The passenger window will not raise or lower, I have check the main fuse inside the cabin. Removed the door panel and check that the motor does operate with an external power source so there is not binding of the window or motor.

when check for power to window could not verify since the wire color on the motor is different from what is on the switch.

any suggestions???

Power windows

I found the problem,

The wires are between the door and the vehicle cased inside an accordian conduit, I slide it back towards the the car away from the door exposing the wire and saw the two wires that control the motor were cut in-half from being to tight.


I splice some wire between the two and now the widow is working.


Hope this helps others that may run into this.

Just found this same condition in my daughters Torrent. Blue wire broken (and some of the other wires losing insulation (cracks at least). Will be fixing these up tomorrow. Simple fix. Glad I found this first. Thanks for posting this 10 years ago!
