People,

1987 sunbird GT, trying to replace pcv valve. It is wedged in that thick rubber tube so tightly, Im afraid to break something. How do you do it? heat up that rubber in boiling water?

Thanks

Thats the quicker way. The other way is soaking the piece in silicon spray, placing it in a plastic bag and let it sit for a number of days.

Thanks, Mel. I will try the boil method. When you did it did you push it out with any tool , like pliers? Did it end up mangling up the old valve? (just want to know what to expect).

Sorry I have never run into this problem. The solutions for dealing with hardened rubber hoses I found through google.
