I spent a week in Holden country down under a few weeks ago. Lots of interesting cars we no longer see, or set up in sissified USA versions; Alfa Romeo, Fiat, various French cars, all the Jap cars, and Holden and Ford.

And of course, Toyota has all the car makers on the ropes there as well.

GM (and Ford for that matter) could learn a thing or two about automotive styling from their corporate blokes down under. Our USA Detroit cars are - in general - butt fugly compared to GM's Holden lineup (or Ford of Oz for that matter).

Holden has some kind of El Camino-like vehicle there that should have done wonderful sales here - if GM had bothered to bring it here. Same for the Ford side with their Ranchero-like platform.
And BOTH offer sharp looking station wagons - remember the family-friendly vehicle - the one we had before Satan gave us the -- minivan?

GM should be greatful that Ford is equally as stoopid, as the Aussie Fords are some sharp-looking cars.

Makes me wonder why US Detroit is punishing us with what we are being offered.
