I really need some advice. I have a 1989 Pontiac Formula Firebird and I needed to replace the steering column. I was told by the junkyard where I got the replacement steering column that one out of the 1989 Camaro was the only other one that could be used.
I have the steering column replaced and now the car will turn over but not start.
I noticed that there is no gas getting into the throttle body, but there is a black wire coming from the new column that I have no idea what it is for or where it goes, seeing as how my original steering column did not have that wire. So I assume when the key is turned on it is not getting power to the fuel pump.
