...Start? Okay first off, i feel i did a pretty good job checking everything i thought of. I would appreciate any ideas, anyone has, especially someone with experience with the GM 2.2 in that year. Anyhow, I have replaced or checked the following. Coils, Ignition Module, Plugs, Cam & Crank Sensor, battery is good, fuses are good. Turns over good, just wont start, not getting any spark at all. By the way, i checked the timing chain by removing the valve cover and watching the rockers move, i assume this is reliable? Some more information for you, it just happened to stall out on me while driving down the road, no codes, was running great. If you think you can help me, leave a post here and contact me at mystakilla at gmail.com Id appreciate it. anyhow good luck in your answers.

I would say that it is the ignition module but if you are sure that it is not bad it could possibly be the crank sensor. The crank sensor tells the ignition module where the engine is in its rotation and that is how it knows when to fire. The crank sensor on that engine is a real pain to get to and you have to be extremely careful removing the old one because they are plastic and tend to break apart when you are trying to remove it. When this happens you have to remove the oil pan and push the pieces out. I had the same problem before and it ended up taking me 4 days to get the thing running again and it ended up being the ignition module. Good luck to you and I hope I have been helpful

not to sound too obvious, but does it have an alarm? Some disable ignition. If you can gain access to a scan tool, you might have a code stored for lack of cam or crank signal, theft disable, ect ect ect

You're not getting spark and you're changing everything providing the positive side of the electrical circuit. You may have a grounding problem.
