In other words, "1995 Trans Am" isn't going to indicate to anybody that you need help. However, "Need help with my 1995 Trans Am" will. Be as descriptive as you can. Please use common sense... SELLING MY COMPLETE 455 SHORTBLOCK LESS CAM FROM MY 1973 T/A! This is a service replacement engine that was in my 68,000 mile 1973 T/A 4 speed car when I purchased it. Block casting number is:485428
Block date is L203 (Dec. 20, 1973)
Stamp on front of block SR83709

This was a complete running engine with stock internals and does not need rebuilt, did not smoke or leak when it was removed. I threw away the hydraulic cam as I was going to purchase a new roller cam for it but had a 495 Pontiac built for the car and now I am selling this stock engine.

Stock heads that came off this engine may be available for addtional fee.

Great engine for the person who no longer has the matching numbers motor for thier car and is doing a restoration as this is an over the counter service replacement engine installed by the dealer back in the day for warrenty work and is acceptable as a correct replacement. Would be acceptable to make any Pontiac that came with a 455 "MATCHING NUMBERS" as this was installed by the Dealer back in the day as a warrenty replacement engine.

Pontiac had a 5 year/50,000 mile warrenty and quite a few of these were done. The engine had 6X heads on it and they did not come out until 1976 so this engine was installed in my car on or after 1976 and the car only shows 68K miles, half or less of that was with this engine. Engine is standard bore, no ridge on the cylinder walls and I had the front timing chain cover bead blasted since it was off the engine to remove the cam and it is perfect. Oil pan is on the engine and it has never been removed since new.

I can crate the engine for a small additonal charge and deliver it to the shipping company of your choice here in Miami or you can do a local pick-up. If you purchase the engine I will hold it for you for a reasonable amount of time for free, just ask.

Any questions please call me at 305-310-3866 as I do not always check the site for my messages. Thanks, Dave
