Pontiac Fiero Clutch Problems?

When I let off the clutch pedal it is not going into gear. The shifter goes into the gear fine, but the transmission is not engaging. Any ideas?

Have you recently changed the clutch? If so this sounds like what would happen if the wrong throw out bearing was put in.
