Pontiac Fiero Theft Lock Problem?

Hi, I have a 1987 Pontiac Fiero and my stereo recently went bad. I am thinking about buying a new one and installing it myself. How do i get around the anti theft lock if there is one so i can install a new radio?

There is no Theft-Lock on a Fiero stereo. That didn't come around until the late 1990's
