i don't know to much about the car so can someone tell me something about the car? is it a good car for a new driver?

I might consider giving a V6 G8 to a teenager, but not a GT or GXP. Just make sure he doesn't rice the poor thing out. As an american car, that would be an absolute travesty...

This is coming from a 19 y/o, BTW. I want a GT or GXP of my own in the next few years. ;)

The 2009 lineup comprises three models: G8, G8 GT and the new G8 GXP. Each delivers a broad range of standard performance, convenience and safety features, including:

Four-wheel independent suspension
Four-wheel vented disc brakes with ABS and traction control
StabiliTrak electronic stability control system
Seat-mounted thorax air bags and dual-stage frontal air bags for front passengers, with automatic passenger sensing system
Roof rail side-impact air bags for both seating rows
OnStar
XM Satellite Radio
Power-adjustable front seats
Fog lamps
Polished stainless steel exhaust tips
Low-profile rear lip spoiler

A sport package is available for G8 GT models; it adds features such as 19-inch aluminum wheels and performance tires; a leather-wrapped sport steering wheel and alloy pedals. I would encourage you to take this vehicle for a test drive to further your decision.

I would recommend searching GM Certified Used Vehicles. Here is a direct link to search on that site: http://www.gmcertified.com. This will allow you to select the body style as well as your price range. Hope this helps.

Pontiac G8 is GXP is a great choice for teenager.....teenager are more concerned about the speed aspects of the car it reaches 60mph in just 4.5 sec and in 13 seconds goes to 110mph.....its a good choice for a teenager.....

As a 17 year old, I'd reccomend a grand am GT, but that's what I drive :P
