Looking to get a car in March most likely. I don't want to have to shell out an extra grand on wheels and tires for the winter, so I just don't want to buy now, nor will I enjoy it as much in the winter. So I am looking at getting a certified used g8 gt or the genesis 3.8 track. From looking into it the G8 seems like the better buy, because it is easier to tune and modify and I really like the V8 growl and has the added benefit of 4 doors. I loved the Genesis coupe track when I drove it, but havent had the chance to drive the g8 gt. Any thoughts?

g8 gt:
0-60 5.4 seconds
13.7 second quarter mile
65 mph slalom speed
88.5 g skid pad
hyundai genesis:
0-60 g.4 seconds
14.5-second quarter-mile at 97.9 mph
68.2-mph slalom speed
i would go with the pontiac. if you oculd find a gxp....
it can keep up with the hyundai in the corners, will blow it away on the straights, and is way more practical. its called value, more for your money. at least, thats my opinion

I like the genesis but it's loaded with warranty protection crap that makes it less desirable.

Then again I'd never drive a g8 because of the lack of manual...even in the gxp.

Solved your problem...get an LS2 GTO.
