I have a 2008 Pontiac G8 GT and i want to put a SLP axle back exhaust system on it but will that void the warranty? If so is it the whole warranty or just the exhaust? Also i have having it installed by Wisconsin Muffler if that makes a difference. Thanks in advance

Flyboy92,
The New Vehicle Limited Warranty does not cover any damage or failure resulting from modification, alteration or suspected tampering, to the vehicle's original equipment as manufactured or assembled by General Motors.

Any changes to the GM Powertrain, Fuel, or Emission Systems that involve modifications, conversions, or the addition of non-GM approved products will void the GM Powertrain Limited. GM will not be responsible for costs associated with the repair of these vehicles due to failure of the aftermarket installed components or failures of related vehicle systems induced by these non-GM approved products. Hope this helps.

GM cannot void your warranty on powertrain or anything for an after market exhaust. They need to prove that the aftermarket modification has DIRECTLY CAUSED THE ISSUE...

there is nothing that an aftermarket exhaust can cause to the car or powertrain that can void the warranty. Please try to answer the individuals answers with more directed answers and not general answers that may mislead the individual. Show me something that can be a cause of failure to an after market exhaust.... so therefore GM will cover any warranty that is already provided... except for obviously the new exhaust!!!!!!!!
