light? First question : what’s the difference in service engine light v.s. service vehicle light? I assume on check the engine (duh) and one monitors the other systems.

Second and most puzzling:

My service vehicle light has been on for a good month, it has just recently “turned off” since I replaced a burnt out headlight. Is the Diagnostic Computer sensitive enough to trigger the service light due to a headlight problem?
I assume on check the engine (duh) and one monitors the other systems.

Should be...

I assume one checks the engine (duh) and the other one monitors the other systems.

Both lights are the same: Car computer has seen something abnormal that will affect the smog emissions of the vehicle.

Purely coincidence that the light turned off unless you topped off fluids also and one was very low such as coolant.

yeah there not the same. your SVS light monitors all the sensors in your suspension and electrical. your SES light moniter, well you said it the engine, and anything having to do with it.

yeah an SVS light for a headlight is comman.

good luck
