pontiac grand am 97 wont

start? ok i have a pontiac grand am 97 sometimes it startes and sometimes it doesnt if i move the wheel alot or move it up and down then it will start can anyone tell me whats wrong with it and can i fix it. ive checked all the plugs and fuses and there good
when i turn the key nothing happens but when i turn the steering wheel or move it up and down and then turn the key it turns on sometimes i have to move it up and down really hard

Does the engine turn over or crank? Does it sound like it wants to start but won't?
