okay i have a 2001 pontiac grand am. 2 weeks off of the car lot it started over heating. We have replaced the thermasta, the water pump,
the heater core. We also did a radiator flush and there are no clogs. When the car starts over heating the heater runs cold, all of the coolant goes out of the over flow valve. We think it may have something to do with the thermastate housing. Taking it to a macanic is not an option. does anybody know what is going on here.

well if you have replace thermostat check your belt check your fan an dyou doing a radiator flush was a waste of money the stuff dont work any better than just running water thru it so type into search box
how to check over heating car

wil give you ideals of how to check and where to look an dmight want to remove radiator take to a radiator shop have them check and clean it then it wil be like new water pumps go bad they leak thru hole in bottom cant mistake that belt slipping or fan draging try looking at belt see if they old and dry look shiney slipping spin fan with finger feel any tight spots its bad you can wtach flow of coolant with cap off radiator and pump working and see when or if thermostat opens and closes

must be bad engine head gaskets, if your car is v6 engine. if you see the coolant over flow tank and full of creamy or sticky stuff, burn air from cylinders and some oil goes through bad head gasket to the cooling system. i have been fixed this problem many time, espacially v6 3.1 and 3.4 eignie for grand am, alero, malibu, impala....
