car has been overheating, changed the water pump, thermostat and had it flushed, still no results, coolant is not leaking anywhere, but is coming out of the over flow, like its not getting into the engine, took it to shop and was told it was the intake, what is this and how hard is it to change urself?

If it is a 3.1 engine it is a common problem and I would NOT advise you to attempt doing it yourself as they use two different size pushrods and are easy to mess up if put back in wrong ..the intake will take most of the top of the engine off of the block including all of the wireing and fuel system
you would be further ahead to have a shop do it ...
