Today out of nowhere, my car made loud noises so I took it right to the garage and upon looking at it, the mechanic said "It's the ignition coil."
Thing is, he can't get any parts until tomorrow because it's Sunday, obviously. And he wants to look it once over to make sure nothing else is causing it to have gone wrong.
Before this happened, I wasn't noticing any noises, smells, vibrations, or anything that usually is a red light that something is wrong with my car. I am wondering if anyone out there is a certified mechanic, or has had a similar repair recently can give me a rough cost estimate, best case scenario, so I don't get "sticker shock" tomorrow. Thank you so much for easing my mind.
Again, 1999 Pontiac Grand Am GT and if it matters, it has about 90K miles on it.
