Pontiac Grand Am SE 1999 questions?

The brake light and the ABS light are both on, My dad can't seem to figure out why does anyone have any suggestions?

he checked the E brake and thats not it

I cant take it to the shop just yet because it isnt on the road

any suggestions?

It's ten years old, those lights sometimes stay on.
Does it accelerate well, or does it feel like the brakes are applied?
Also, it maybe because you need your brakes bled or there's a float stuck, or you need brake fluid.
