Pontiac Sunfire help? please?

ok i got a 2000 pontiac sunfire and the interior lights are automatic, so when you open and close the door the lights are supposed to come off in about 20 sec, but now they wont shut off till about 20 min. after i shut the door. can someone tell me if there's a button or something to fix that. thanks.

Find an empty GLASS bottle. Fill it about half to three-quarters full with lighter fluid. Take an old rag, soak it with gasoline or more lighter fluid. Stuff one end of the soaked rag into the neck of the bottle. Take out matches or a lighter. Light the rag and light it burn for about a second or two and then whip it at the car, preferably at the hood. Hope I helped!

there should be a button where the interior light is turn this to the off position then have it visually checked.
