I have a Pontic Sunfire that was in an slight accident... basically while parked the guy in front of me backed into. My insurance company wants to classify it as totaled due to parts and labor and pay me juck squat for the car.

I'm fine with the cosmetic damage but the rear brakes are locked and drag instead of turning when I try to drive the car. What could be wrong here? Is the brake line pinched off not allowing the pressure to be released, Is the spring system that works the rear brakes over tightened due to the car being pushed back forcibly.

What could be the problem? I can get it fixed if I knew what was wrong but I can't afford to leave it with a mechanic to play with it for a week and charge me an exuberant fee just to find out the problem.
forgot to mention... I don't know if it's related or not but the gas pedal is very difficult to push in, but it is from the same accident.

Nobody is going to be able to specifically diagnosis what is causing the problem without seeing the car. Since it sounds like you cannt fix it yourself you have to find a trustworthy skilled mechanic. It will not take a week to find the problem. It should at most take a few hours. I would start by trying to pull the rear drums off.

The only way a Brake Line could be pinched off is from other incidents/activities. There are NO Brake Lines along the front end.
The rear Brakes being or becoming Locked up isn't from being hit in the front but from other issues like possibly a faulty self adjusting assembly.

I agree with melsg5 and start with removing the Drums.
You may need to punch out the openings on the lower inside bottom to turn back the adjusting wheels (star wheel) to release the expanded shoes.
Using a Deadblow or Softface Hammer will help in releasing Drums.
DO NOT PRY DRUMS OFF.
If Disc, then just remove Wheel(s) and inspect Calipers and Parking Brake cable(s).

Just trace the linkage from the firewall to possibly/probably detect the hindrance.
On my '93 Sunbird there is a Cable for the fuel assembly. If you have such, you may need to lube it using Graphite. Just squirt the Lube into the Cable housing.
