Hello everyone, I'm also having issues with my Pontiac Torrent overheating. I had a cracked head gasket n had it fixed, but it still was overheating, an eventually wouldn't start. I was told it was the fuel pump bc it wasn't getting any gas, an couldn't hear it hum when I turned the ignition over. Put a new fuel pump in, still nothing. They switched out my fuel relay which worked. It started an seemed fine. You can't even hear the engine running it's so quiet. Two days later, my air stopped blowing cold, temp gauge stopped working, above the steering wheel where it tells u info said engine hot, a.c off. Checked under the hood n my air conditioner fan isn't working, n the coolant reservoir is full. My neighbor felt the hoses n said a hose is prob clogged bc it was cold while another hose was warm. Said it might be the thermostat. Any idea?

Why are you not going back to the shop that did all the work?
The engine cooling fan comes on at temperatures of roughly 215 to 225, I assume you have no way of checking temperature with a IR gun?
Not knowing what hoses your neighbor felt, the thermostat is a possibility but again the shop that did the work should be looking into this.
The fact that the shop replaced the fuel pump first without checking the relay brings into question their skill level.
