Pontiac Torrent Brakes?

Hello,
My brakes are squeaking horribly and I want to replace them. I want to buy my own brakes however. I checked on tirerack.com and they ask if my car is AWD or FWD. I dont know the answer. Does it matter? Also they only offered me the front brake pads and not the rear. Do my rear pads not need replaced? Can someone help me decide where to buy these and how many to buy.
 
I replaced the front brakes on my 2006 Torrent about 4 months ago. I bought the pads off EBay for about $50. They are easy to replace if you know anything about basic hand tools and cars. Remember to torque the caliper mount bolts to the proper value. Check the lower right exterior corner of the tailgate on your Torrent. It will read AWD if the vehicle is all wheel drive.
 
what are the proper torque specifications for the caliper bolts?
