popping noise front end

I have a popping noise coming from somewhere in the left to mid front end of my 2000 Pontiac Montana (extended). I have brought it to both a dealer and an experienced mechanic and no one can find the problem. They have re-tightened all of the suspension parts, checked the brakes, re-lubricated all of the joints, replaced the front control arm, replaced the strut and strut bearing, and I still hear the noise. It usually occurs when stopping and starting at slow speeds, when making turns but also when just going straight. If anyone has any ideas please help me! It is driving me crazy that no one can find out what's wrong. Thank you!

If you hear it when starting and stopping can you bounce the van when parked and still hear it? Get someone to help while you listen. Maybe you can track it down yourself.

The problem with telling a mechanic you hear a noise is that they are probably hearing and fixing a different one.

Found It!

Turned out it was a loose bolt on the top of the engine where the black metal bar sits in the back.
