Sunfire? I have a '96 Pontiac Sunfire and I've been having alot of problems with it recently. It does not idle properly, and is always stalling. Usually it happens when it gets hot. I've noticed that it's been getting hot alot faster than usual. I'll be driving down the highway and all of a sudden it'll start to slow down, I put my foot to the floor, but it's not getting any gas whatsoever, I pull over and it stalls right away. It'll also sort of chug, like it's not getting any gas and it's going to quit, but as long as I give it a boost of gas it'll keep going for a little bit. I know I need to flush my rad, could that be it? it sounds to me like something to do with the fuel system though.

I'd get it to a shop and get a professional diagnose it. First thing to do is check fuel pressure with a gauge and compare it to the specifications. Radiator flush has nothing to do with stalling.

Could be any one of many things. Fuel filter could be clogged, catalytic converter could be plugged, sensor failure, etc.

As WillS recommends, if you're not mechanically inclined, best to get a good mechanic to take a look. Do not continue to drive the vehicle if it's overheating - can mess up an engine quick!
